Construction & specifications

Built for cleanable, long-service clinical walls

A rigid sheet-metal body with a spray-coated finish gives the box the strength and cleanability required in operating-room walls. Panel material, internal layout and port positions are built to order, so the box matches your modular operating-room wall system rather than forcing your project to adapt to a stock size.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

A terminal unit is the gas-specific socket that a hose or probe connects to. The terminal box is the flush wall enclosure behind it, housing the pipework, the terminal units and the grounding provision. ICARELIFE supplies the box built to your gas schedule; the terminal units are matched to the standard you nominate and quoted as separate line items.

Match the standard to the medical gas pipeline system already installed or specified for the project, not to the room. Terminal units are gas-specific and mechanically keyed so the wrong gas cannot be connected, which means a DIN terminal will not accept an ANSI probe. For a refurbishment or extension we build to the standard already in service; for a new build the standard is set by the project pipeline specification.

Yes. The 897 × 297 × 150 mm body is designed to sit inside a matching opening in a modular steel-panel wall, so a like-for-like replacement is usually possible. The practical limits are the cavity depth behind the panel and the position of the existing pipework — send us the wall opening dimensions and a photograph of the current installation and we will confirm the fit before you order.
